  • What kind of art do you sell?

404 Gallery is a leading online gallery for the sale of original art by contemporary artists, covering a wide range of tastes. We offer a one-stop online shopping experience that lets you acquire art that is customized to your unique taste. Currently, we sell paintings, drawings, sketches and digital art.

  • Do you sell murals?

Currently, we do not sell murals at 404 Gallery.

  • I want to buy an original art. Do you sell original art as well?

Yes, 404 Gallery currently offers a limited selection of original art shipped directly from the artist.

  • Will the art I buy come with a glass cover?

No, we do not use glass while framing our art. Canvas prints are best viewed without a glass cover. For our photo art prints, we protect the art from dust by proving a premium laminate over the art. Glass is susceptible to breakage, and we want our customers to have high quality art options at affordable prices.

  • Do you provide matting options? Can I customize my own mat?

Currently, we do not offer matting customizations. We plan to introduce this feature soon.

  • How should I clean my artwork?

Always use a soft and dry cloth to wipe your art piece clean. Always apply light pressure when dusting the surface of the artwork. Please avoid using water, soap, thinner or detergent to clean your artwork.

Shopping & Ordering

  • How do I go about shopping on your website?

We will be happy to assist you.

If you have something specific in mind, for instance:

  1. An artist’s name
  2. A subject (like Scenic, or Religion etc.)
  3. A medium (like Acrylic, or Watercolour, or Photography etc.)
  4. A title or keyword (like ‘sunset’, or ‘child’, or ‘lake’ etc.)

then you can search for it in our Search Box, which is located at the top of every page. Just type what you are looking for and click on the ‘Go’ button. If, however, you are not sure what you are looking for, or generally browsing, click on different medium ‘Categories’ on the top menu of any of the pages and you’ll get a complete listing of all the artwork available on offer. From there, you can browse through the various choices. You can also use the left hand menu column to filter your choices. If you want to shortlist a few art pieces, place your mouse over their images and click on ‘Add to wishlist’ (you need to be signed in to do this). After your shortlisting is over, go to ‘Wishlist’ and take a closer look at your shortlisted items. Go to their individual art pages, and see what they look like by zooming into them. Once you are completely satisfied, click on ‘Add to Cart’ and your artwork will be added to your shopping cart. After this, you can either continue to shop, or proceed to make the payment.

  •  How do I buy an original artwork?

We will be happy to assist you. If you want to buy an original artwork that is available for sale, please click on the box which says ‘Add to Cart’. Please note that all original artwork ship directly from the artist to you.

  • Does the image on your site accurately represent what I will be sent?

We strive for a high degree of image accuracy. However, in some cases, the visual representation may be approximate.

  • How accurate are the item dimensions listed on your web pages?

We verify the dimensions of all images on our site, but due to industry standards sizes can vary slightly.

  • Do you sell from any physical gallery as well?

No, we neither sell from, nor are associated with nor affiliated to any physical gallery. All our services are offered online.

  • What are the payment options available on your website?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. You can also pay with your Debit Card, through Net Banking, or through Mobile Payments. We also offer COD (Cash on Delivery) option.

  • Is it safe to shop online on 404 Gallery?

At 404 Gallery, we use the latest security technology, which includes data encryption, server authentication, and message integrity. In simple terms, this means that you are as safe shopping on our website, as you are while using your credit or debit card in a physical store or restaurant.

  • I’m not sure which art is best for my needs. Can you assist me with your recommendations?

  • Can I cancel or modify an order?

Shipping, Delivery & Returns

  • When will I get my art after purchasing it?

All productions on 404 Gallery usually ship within 4-5 business days (weekends and holidays are excluded). After an item has been shipped, the delivery time depends on the address to which the delivery has to be made. The originating point of all shipments is Mumbai, India. Please note that we use ground transportation to ship our products. If you would like us to ship your purchase to you through Air Services, please write to us with your order number at info@404 within 24 hours of placing the order.

  • I’m not sure if my art will be shipped properly. What if it is damaged?

404 Gallery has tied up with some of the most reputed brands in shipping and logistics in the world. Rest assured that the safe and secure transit and delivery of your art-purchase is as important to us as it is to you. Our packaging is sturdy, and we always ensure that we pack in extra shock absorbers and water-proof packaging material to ensure that your artwork is not damaged in any way.

  • Still, what happens if I receive a damaged item?

If, in a rare case, your purchase reaches you in a damaged condition, we have well-defined steps and policies to help you get a replacement or full refund. Please go through our Return & Refund Policy to know more.

  • Can I have the artwork sent to an address that is different from my billing address?

404 Gallery will be delighted to be considered by you as a gifting partner! Our galleries are full of beautiful artwork that can be fantastic gifting options. And yes, you can ship to an address that is different from your billing address. In our checkout section, there are two address options, one is your billing address, and the other is the delivery address. Just fill in the appropriate addresses and your gift will be on its way in no time!


  • I forgot the password to my account. What should I do?
